Alaska: The Flying Big 5
Growing up we traveled a lot. Usually by RV. I remember when I was about 8 or so we went to the Grand Canyon. While standing at the side of the canyon we watched a Bald Eagle soar through the sky. My father told us to make sure we remember that day because we would never see that again because the Bald Eagle was on the endangered species list. That memory didn’t really stay with me all these years. But, when I took my son out east to look at Colleges we were driving through Virginia and I saw a Bald Eagle soaring above us. I was so excited. My head was literally to my dash board as I drove. I was wishing it was safe enough to pull over and pull out my camera.
I am so excited about the chance of seeing a Bald Eagle or the Horned Puffin in person. I will definitely be bringing my good camera for this trip. The opportunities for seeing wildlife in Alaska is amazing and I cannot wait!
